Why did I do that? (Part II)
Wednesday, March 1st, 2006This is rev 2 of my blog. The first blog, as with the entire site, was written with iWeb. My first foray into WYSIWYG HTML editors was iWeb. I was under whelmed. iWeb generated bloated, nasty code with huge png images and an unimaginable directory structure. I rewrote the site, sans blog, with Dreamweaver. That was a nice site, I think it lasted about half a day. I used the templates and other Dreamweaver features to replicate the iWeb site. This was actually a decent site, but very boring.
The site you find at [removed] was written with Dreamweaver, but relies on a single php script (except for the blog). I ditched the Dreamweaver templates and other fluff. The current version stays true to the original iWeb template, adding a few of my own features and functions.
I have added the WordPress weblog app to the other site to make sure you don’t miss out on any of my complaints. I am not happy with the current configuration. Maybe some day I’ll incorporate the blog into the homepage. Don’t hold your breath.
Why did I do that?
Friday, February 17th, 2006My one and only post from the iWeb blog. Disregard the complaints about iWeb, we have moved on:

Here you will find what ever I feel like posting. If you prefer to see something else, I suggest 251.org.
BTW, the above photo is not relevant to this post.
I bought a cyclocross bike last week because everyone else had one. Now I have one, a Gunnar Crosshairs, and it is a nice color. The bike was purchased from Klunk Bicycles & Repair. I highly recommend Klunk.
In unrelated news: I made [the old] site with iWeb. iWeb includes trendy features like blogs, pod casts and other unnecessary stuff. I should also mention that iWeb generates extremely bloated code and giant PNG images. This would explain why you had to wait so long to read [the old site]. If you are interested in a more efficient site go here: 251.org (again).
